Arthur Coury Designs

Arthur and Elena Court live what they describe as a "simple, quiet life" in the San Francisco Bay Area that would tax the energies of most people running a successful company, designing its products, contributing their time and effort to a long list of conservation and wildlife causes, and traveling the world to attend work-related events as well as in pursuit of the minerals and artifacts they passionately collect.
Raised on a farm in Minnesota, Arthur spent eighteen years following his WWII Naval service working for design and decorating firms in San Francisco. He opened his own business in 1966 and enjoyed worldwide success with custom mountings of his own vast mineral collection. During succeeding decades he traveled the globe in search of exotic specimens created by both nature and man, taking a greater and greater hand in designing the products he presented to his customers. He is best known for the marvelous, intricate aluminum creations that form the large part of the Courts' business today.
Elena Orsini-Court is a native San Franciscan. She studied Oriental art history and modern art and has contributed to the public awareness of art, as a corporate art consultant and a curator for public art exhibitions. Currently, Elena serves as director of the product development and president of Arthur Court Designs ®.

Ariat Boots

Ariat was founded with one simple objective: to provide the most technologically advanced riding boots for the world's top equestrian athletes. Today, Ariat is the leading performance footwear and apparel brand for equestrian athletes around the world. From show jumping to team penning, Ariat boots provide the foundation upon which world-class athletes work, ride and compete.
In 1990, co-founders Beth Cross and Pam Parker set out to create a new company and a new way of thinking about footwear for riders. The two realized that traditional riding boots, both English and Western weren't all that well suited for riding. They were stiff, heavy and hard on the feet.
So they assembled a group of top footwear engineers and designers, and set them on the task of creating the world's most technically innovative performance riding boot for both English and Western riders. They started by re-designing the outsole, rethinking the arch support system and finally taking a hard look at the suitability of "traditional" last shape and fit.
While they were establishing the technology platform for Ariat boots, they were also talking to hundreds of top riders who helped in the design and development of the final product.
In 1993, Ariat shipped their first pair of boots.
Today, Ariat offers a full range of Western and English riding boots, work boots and casual footwear. Our products are sold around the world in over 4,000 retail outlets.
Whether you are a professional equestrian athlete or novice rider, Ariat has a performance technology designed for you. Ariat boots cushion the foot while stabilizing the heel and arch, dramatically reducing fatigue and stress to feet, legs and the lower back.
America's number one English riding boot and fastest growing Western boot company, Ariat is now recognized as the official boot of numerous prestigious associations around the world.
Ariat believe's in supporting the sport of riding at all levels. In Ariat's brief history; they have sponsored over 10,000 local, regional and national events as well as hundreds of athletes in their pursuit of equestrian excellence.
